"Like a simple organism, the artist blends into the environment, camouflaging with it, expanding their threshold of perception; they open a new relationship with the world of things. However, what the artist engages with is not reworked; they do not express a judgment on it, nor seek a moral or social value, nor manipulate it: they leave it exposed and apparent, drawing from the substance of natural events, such as the growth of a plant, the chemical reaction of a mineral, the behavior of a river, snow, grass, and soil, or the fall of a weight. They empathize with these events to experience the wondrous organization of living things. Among the living things, the artist also discovers themselves, their body, their memory, their gestures—everything that they directly experience..."
